Every decade or so, an epic Irish historical drama hits the big screen, and 2028 will be no exception with the eagerly-awaited movie premiere of A REBEL'S HEART, to be directed by the award-winning and seasoned Irish director Ronan O’Leary and Executive Produced by the legendary Sir John Boorman.
Logline
In 19th-century Ireland, gifted athlete Pat Nally is swept into the struggle for independence as he rises from local sports hero to a leader in the Irish Republican Brotherhood, but is determined not to resort to violence. As political unrest and betrayal close in, Pat navigates divided loyalties, personal sacrifice, and a rigged legal system; risking everything for the dream of an independent Ireland – and for the love of a courageous woman.
"The Pat Nally story is not widely known and I have no doubt that in Ronan's capable hands a great movie is in gestation."
