Supporting the project
Financing an independent feature film these days requires a package of different elements: from private investors, large and small, to regional filming subsidies – and from advanced cinema/TV deals to bridging loans. Funding the initial development investment is the first and often the most difficult step, which is why we are turning to our worldwide potential audience to support our crowdfunding campaign.
Total budget
The total audited budget of the film is around €8m EUR, depending on the cost of the lead cast. With filming due to start in 2027, the script is ready to shoot as soon as the funds have at least been promised and held with a specialist financier.
Crowdfunding
Much of the pre-development costs have already been met by the producers, but a successful crowdfunding campaign will mean that the pre-production phase and booking the cast and crew can begin in earnest.
Incentives
All contributions are welcome, however small – even if it's just the cost of a cinema ticket. But we have some great incentives to offer our supporters who have deeper pockets and who want to support a true-life tale of Irish cultural and sporting heritage.
Rewards
Whether you would like a Special Thanks credit at the end of the film, an Executive Producer credit, or an actual walk-on or extra role, there are some great rewards on offer depending on the level of your donation.
